Out of Sequence! The universal nature of the Class 66 means that transfers and sales between owners/operators are relatively common. 66122 is one of those. It was one of several locomotives hired by DRS and as such carries DB modifications like auto couplers and wing mirrors but the house colours of new operator DRS.

Our Class 66 model is based on the award winning ‘accura-standard’ platform, with all-wheel powered six-axle bogies, a powerful twin flywheel fitted motor and market leading electronics package.

Highly detailed OO scale model, 1:76.2 scale

  • Minimum Radius 438mm (2nd Radius Set-track)
  • Die-cast metal chassis.
  • RP25-110 profile OO wheels
  • Separately applied etched metal/plastic detail parts, including grab handles, steps, wipers, etc.
  • Scale width wire handrails
  • Full underframe tank detail with brackets and pipework
  • Fully sprung buffers, factory-fitted pipework and screw couplings (for display)
  • Dummy knuckle couplers fitted where relevant
  • Kinetic NEM coupler mounts at correct height and mini-tension-lock couplers
  • “Easi-mag” lift off roof panel to access the decoder and DC light switches

Incredible Class 66122

I bought 2 Class 66’s and only wish I’d bought more! Superb very smooth runner, great detail & price and access to the blanking plate has set the bar high for any other manufacturer to compete. Bring on the Class 50’s & 60’s!

Another brilliant model from Accurascale a step up from the Hatton's original release. For me Accurascale have made a massive improvement on this model overall from the decoration to the assembly all i can say it is one of the best members of the fleet.

66 yet again another late loco.

Received my Blue 66 well packed & Boxed. My problem is not the fantastic loco but late delivery yet again by Accurascale. Have they ever delivered on a promised time? Even any class of their loco's? Great loco's spoilt by false promises.

When launched, the delivery date for the 66 was confirmed as Q1 2024 (Jan, Feb, March) and we did start shipping exclusives on March 29th, so actually exactly on time? Do drop support a note if you need more details.

Great upgrade

The Hattons 66 wasn’t a bad model by any means but the upgraded AS version is fantastic… much better fit and finish, removable roof section is a bonus
The amendments made to make the fit easily removable is always welcomed upgrade….

First class Shed

The improvements made to rectify the issues on the Hatton models have made this a first class shed. Mine ran perfectly on the rolling road and test track straight out of the box. The price is also excellent compared to other manufacturers items, I can see why they’ve sold out. The detail, colour and printing is very precise to the prototype. Hopefully the other four I have on order match the quality of this one. Just need the decoder to run it on my layout.

Fantastic model

Fantastic model, a great upgrade on the previous Hattons offering and the gremlins which were present on the previous generation models appear to have been resolved, no longer will I need to go rummaging for an axle box in a tunnel! A welcome upgrade and one that sure will be popular for everyone's collection. I look forward to the next run of these
