On getting the loco out of its clam then removing the protective sheet finding some lose parts; ie 1 Gard iron, 1 small door which had not bonded to the loco.om running the loco which run superbly but on removing the loco from the layout. I noticed that 2 more Gard iron had dropped had dropped off . On checking the layout I was only able to fine one so now it as one missing . The loco sound great and runs very smoothly. The down side is that some of detailing part have not been bonded to the loco properly

Can I start by saying that this is still the definitive 4mm Deltic bar none, and I'm delighted to have secured models from the second run.
Slightly disappointing though that while Accurascale have addressed some issues for this second run, such as the bogie chains and handrails, others had not been dealt with, but that doesn't alter the fact that these are superb models. As with the previous run, it's strongly advisable to open the model carefully on a well lit surface, as I found several small pieces had come adrift in transit.

Amazing Locomotive, fantastic running and sound is superb!

This was a very lucky purchase. I had wanted to get a Deltic from the first batch for my dad but I missed out on this however, after seeing a post that Accurascale had some left in stock I immediately threw caution to the wind and ordered one of these fine models for my dad's Christmas present!

Safe to say this is very heavy and this does give it a superb quality feel and when all the packaging was removed it was simply "WOW!". The paint finish is amazing and the quality of the model is worth every single penny. Performance straight out of the box is sublime. the sound files are brilliant and the little added bonus of station announcement really do allow you to immerse yourself into the hobby.

There is nothing to dislike about this model, everything looks perfect and as always with Accurascale models I purchase, value for money is 5 star! High quality across the board.

Whilst this model is heavy, it still has so much fine detail that 10 years ago you could only dream of having on a 00 scale model.

Fab u lous. Pity about DPd delivery

Excellent as usual. Sounds lovely if a bit quiet. Will sort that out. Only one bit in the box loose, don't know where it came from.
Asked accurascale if they could not deliver until I came back from holiday. Received email from DPD, parcel delivered and picture of the box sat on my food waste bin. Not sure how long it had been sat there . Not very happy with DPD. Sent email to there CEO. Luckily locomotive ok.

After 12 months wait!! I received my deltic and was very impressed with the engine, details and running especially the sound, just sounds real.its a good weight too which adds to the smooth running of it....I'd certainly buy another...recommended 5star buy

Quietly impressive

I have waited a long time for this model and I am not disappointed, It's been quite a 'learning curve' too - there are a couple of station curves where I will have to ease the radius if the massive Deltic is to get by ! My one and only disappointment is that the roar of the engines as they start to move the train seems rather muted - not the distinctive banshee wail I remember from when I lived near the ECML at York. Maybe there is an adjustment I can make ?
